The popular online Chatting platform, Omegle has recently been shut down reason being an increase in its misuse over the time. Omegle has been a well known platform to interact, chat and talk to strangers anonymously over the web.

Leif-K Brooks, who happens to be the founder of Omegle expressed his opinion on shutting down Omegle. According to him, the platform was being misused and became a hotbed of cyber crime, stalking and even harassment. Shutting down Omegle was the most feasible option for him.

Omegle was easily able to capture the market in that era because it provided an option to the people from different parts of the world to anonymously connect with each other without even revealing their identities.
